Privacy Policy

Summary

Inner Gallery does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to Jungle Labs. Your media is encrypted on-device before any optional sync. There is no account, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

Data collection

Inner Gallery collects no data whatsoever. Specifically:

  • No personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • No usage analytics or telemetry
  • No crash reports sent to external services
  • No advertising identifiers
  • No cookies or tracking pixels
  • No metadata about your photos or videos

Data storage

All data (photos, videos, space configurations, PINs) is stored locally on your device, in the app's sandboxed container. Media files are encrypted at rest using ChaChaPoly. PIN hashes are stored in the iOS Keychain with hardware-backed protection.

Inner Gallery data is excluded from iCloud and iTunes backups by default. When Cloud Sync is enabled, end-to-end encrypted copies of your media are stored in your personal iCloud container via Apple CloudKit.

Third-party services

Inner Gallery uses no third-party analytics, ad networks, or tracking SDKs. When Cloud Sync is enabled, encrypted data is stored in the user's personal iCloud container via Apple CloudKit. Jungle Labs cannot access this data.

Network

Inner Gallery makes network requests only for two optional features: (1) Cloud Sync, which transmits end-to-end encrypted data to your personal iCloud account, and (2) reverse geocoding, which uses Apple's geocoding service to display location names for photos with GPS data. No data is sent to Jungle Labs or any third party.

Cloud Sync

When enabled, Cloud Sync uses Apple CloudKit to store end-to-end encrypted copies of your media in your personal iCloud account. Data is encrypted on-device before upload using ChaChaPoly. Jungle Labs does not have access to your iCloud container and cannot decrypt your data. Panic spaces are never synced. Cloud Sync is optional and disabled by default.

Permissions

Inner Gallery requests access to your Photo Library solely to import selected photos and videos into the app. This access is limited to items you explicitly choose. Inner Gallery does not access your full library.

Children

Inner Gallery is not designed for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Website analytics

This website (innergallery.app) uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how visitors interact with our pages. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track visitors across websites.

Only anonymous, aggregated data is collected (page views, referrer, browser type, country). No information is shared with third parties. This analytics applies only to this website, not to the Inner Gallery app itself, which remains entirely offline and tracking-free.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page with the new date. Since Inner Gallery collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
